What is VELscope?The VELscope uses tissue fluorescence to help identify cellular, structural, or metabolic activity changes that can be related to diseased tissue. VELscope screening can help lead to the earlier discovery of pre-cancer, cancer, or other disease processes. Early detection, means treatment can begin earlier to help restore your oral health. Unlike other oral cancer screening devices, VELscope does not use dyes or prolonged testing procedures. The exam can be performed during routine hygiene exams in around two minutes. |
